College Credit Certificate

(24 credit hours)


The Graphic Design Production Credit Certificate program provides the essential skills and knowledge needed to obtain entry-level jobs in the graphic design industry. All courses are subject specific.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will effectively use the elements and principles of design to build an original brand.
  2. Students will produce digital illustrations using industry standard graphics software.
  3. Studens will combine images with text to create effective advertising solutions.
  4. Students will explain and apply the different uses of color and color theory utilized in graphic design.

To be officially considered for this program a student must:

  • have a high school diploma or GED certificate,
  • be 16 years of age or older,
  • complete application to FGC,
  • take ACT, SAT or college placement test to indicate readiness for college level work in English, reading, and math. Insufficient test scores will require a student to take the appropriate developmental education classes and The College Experience SLS 1501 .
