NUR 1009 - Transition to Professional Nursing 2 credits
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Paramedic to RN Bridge Program (BRPA-AS)
Pre/Corequisite(s): NUR 1142 and HUN 1201 with a grade of C or better.
This transition course introduces the role of the registered nurse to the paramedic. Client care needs (safe effective care environment, health promotion and maintenance, psychosocial integrity, and physiological integrity), professional behavior, communication, clinical decision-making, caring interventions, teaching and learning, collaborating, managing care activities from the integrated framework for clinical practice.
