NUR 4837 - Health Care Policy and Economics 3 credits This course examines global, economic, organizations, and political contexts within which professional nursing practice occurs. Students acquire knowledge and skills necessary for understanding the evolution of health service organization, the development of healthcare policy, and the dynamic interrelationship among socioeconomic and political systems influencing health care and nursing practice. Theoretical perspective, research findings, experience and application to nursing practice will be identified.
