The Pest Control Operations program prepares students to work with lawn care companies, landscape companies, and golf courses as plant health technicians. Pest control operators identify landscape plant materials, the pests that infest or infect them, and are familiar with plant pest control measures. All 24 credits transfer to the 64 credit Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Landscape Technology. To be officially considered for this program a student must: - have a high school diploma or GED certificate,
- complete application to FGC,
- complete a supplemental division application, and
- score a minimum of 10 in language, reading and math on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) before completion of the program.
Students must meet these requirements by testing or by taking the appropriate course, to receive the Pest Control Operations A.T.D. Fall Semester: 15 Credit Hours
Spring Semester: 9 Credit Hours
