TRA 0085 - School Bus Driver 40 clock hours, 1.33 occupational credits
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as school bus drivers. The content includes, but is not limited to, communication skills, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, operation of buses, loading, unloading, and transporting students, reporting delays or accidents on the road, and keeping records. This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the School Bus Driver Training industry: planning, management, finance, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues.
