HIM 2282 - Basic Medical Coding 3 credits | Offered: Fall
Pre/Corequisite(s): HSC 2531 with a C or better.
This is a basic course in medical coding which teaches ICD-9-CM (International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification) and CPT (Current Procedure Terminology) coding. The history, standards, and ethics of coding are also taught in this course.
