AML 2020 - American Literature II 3 credits Requirements Met: AATR, GE, GR General Education Area: Group 2 Humanities Prerequisite(s): ENC 1101 with a grade of C or better. This course requires documentation of collegiate-level essay writing as it relates to interpretation and analysis of nonfictional and imaginative American literature. Students will learn and demonstrate an ability to comprehend, analyze, and synthesize meaning from a study of a part of American culture (Civil War through the present), its major authors, and its literary movements. Essay assignments will document the writing, critical thinking, and research fundamentals learned and demonstrated through a completion of ENC 1101.
