CJK 0200 - Overview of Corrections 14 clock hours, .46 occupational credits
This course will enable the student to understand the requirements for completing the basic recruit training program, understand the importance of ethics, and values, understand professionalism and follow the chain of command, understand the retention and limitation of inmate rights as they pertain to HIPAA, PREA, the Baker Act Privileged Communication, Contraband, as well as Search and Seizure, have an understanding of the laws and rules concerning contraband, be able to articulate the legal justification for the use of force. Lab fee.
