ETS 1535C - Automated Process Control 3 credits
Prerequisite(s): Completion of Engineering core requirements; ETM 1010C with a grade of C or better.
This course includes instruction in PID Loop Development and Tuning, RSLogix 5000, Fuzzy Logic Design and Development, Ladder Logic Programming and Troubleshooting, Data Highway and Ethernet applications. Students will work with trainers and software simulations to build the concepts of PID in the classroom, followed by extensive hands-on lab work. Foundations in Ladder Logic, PLCs and automation will be reinforced with specific training in RSLogix, Rockwell Fieldbus, Data Highway, and Ethernet networking applications for process control systems. Lab fee.
