Corequisite(s): PHT 1200 .
Required Grade: Pass with a C or better
This lab course introduces students to the clinical skills required to function as a physical therapist assistant. Students gain experience in application of the concepts and procedures included in the lecture course PHT 1200 which include but are not limited to patient care, environmental safety, turning and positioning, draping, bed mobility, transfers, wheelchair management, vital signs, fitting/application of assistive and adaptive devices, gait and stair training with assistive devices, body mechanics, sterile technique, and clinical documentation.
