SLS 2370 - Personal Academic and Career Engagement 3 credits Requirements Met: AATR, GE, GR General Education Area: Social Science (not Group 1 or Group 2) Prerequisite(s): Completion of 30 credit hours. This course gives students an opportunity to reflect on previous educational/professional experiences and identify gained employability skills. Through self-assessment, students will be prepared to make informed decisions about career choices, higher education options, or both. Students will design a three-year academic/career plan, produce a professional e-portfolio, and create an effective content-based resume. Topics also include financial literacy, digital citizenship, and professional workplace skills. Successful completion of this course will prepare students for entry into the workforce and/or transfer to a university.
