EVS 3044 - Water Resource with Application in GIS 3 credits This course is an introduction to water resources with applications in geographic information systems software. Prior GIS experience is not required, but familiarity with windows is. In this course students will learn the basics of water resource science and management as well as the basics of GIS software. Topics to be studied include the basics of: GIS software, hydrologic science; and global, regional and local water resource management issues. Special emphasis will be placed on the water resources of Florida.
