FIL 2001 - Introduction to American Cinema 3 credits Requirements Met: AATR Provides students with an introductory course in film studies. Presents a survey of the American film industry as an art form, as an industry, and as a system of representation and communication. This course will explore how Hollywood films work technically, aesthetically, and culturally, to challenge and reinforce the fabric of America’s self-image.
