College Credit Certificate

The certificate in Business Development and Entrepreneurship is a college credit program that prepares a student for developing and starting a new business enterprise.

Program Learning Outcomes


  1. Students will demonstrate the ability to develop small business plans, demonstrating competence at accessing, producing, analyzing, and implementing marketing, financial, and operational data using common business software.
  2. Students will prepare marketing plans for a business service or product.
  3. Students will prepare business letters, financial reports, or emails, and employ effective communication skills in dealing with stakeholders both inside and outside of the organization.
  4. Students will recognize the legal and ethical issues in the business environment and demonstrate an understanding of management activities in an organization.
