Program Learning Outcomes

1. Students will demonstrate a thorough understanding of fundamental business disciplines, including finance, marketing, operations, and management, enabling them to navigate and contribute effectively in diverse business environments.
2. Students will apply analytical, critical, and innovative thinking to identify problems, evaluate potential solutions, and make decisions that add value to organizations.
3. Students will exhibit proficiency in conveying ideas and information coherently, adapting their communication style to various business contexts, audiences, and technologies.

Program Information

Students with an A.S. degree in Business Administration will transition in to the BSBA program already possessing foundational knowledge regarding the business environment, but will need to complete additional general education requirements to attain the Bachelor’s degree.  Students with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree will need to complete additional coursework focused on foundational principles of business.

To be officially considered for admission into this program, a student must:

• Complete and submit to the FGC Office of Enrollment Services a Baccalaureate Admission Application along with all required, supporting documents.  The Baccalaureate Application can be found at: https://www.fgc.edu/admission-application-information/
• Have a grade of C or better in all general education courses.
• Have a grade of C or better in all lower-level business administration courses

Program Notes

In order to graduate with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, students must complete the following requirements in addition to the Bachelor of Science Graduation Requirements :

• Fullfill the foreign language requirement by completing two credits of the same foreign language in high school or completion of a postsecondary course at the elementary 2 level (meaning the second course in a foreign language sequence) in one foreign langauge or American Sign Language (ASL), or passing scores on the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) for the elementary 2 level course.
• Complete at least one core course from each of the general education subject areas of communication, humanities, mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences.  General Education core course options are identified in Rule 6A-14.0303, and in the college catalog.
• Successfully complete all courses required for the program with a C or better.

Lower-level Prerequisite Courses: 21 credit Hours

Prerequisite courses must be taken prior to admission to the program.

• CGS 1570 - Computer Applications
• MAC 1105 - College Algebra
• MAC 2233 - Survey of Calculus
• ECO 2013 - Macroeconomics
• ECO 2023 - Microeconomics
• ACG 2021 - Introduction to Financial Accounting
• ACG 2071 - Introduction to Managerial Accounting

Lower-level Pre or Corequisite courses: 36 Credit Hours

Choose the pathway that matches the lower-level degree previously earned. 

Lower Division Courses: 15 credit Hours

• Lower level (1000-2999) courses earned from an AA or AS degree
