The Medical Assisting Certificate program is a 12-month program and includes instruction in computer applications, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology courses, in addition to core courses covering administrative and clinical skills utilized by the entry-level medical assistant. Students must pass 100% of the Psychomotor and Affective competencies (skills) required in the program and pass every course in the program with a grade of “C” or better in order to progress and/or remain in the program. The program consists of 1300 Contact Hours and 43.33 Credit Hours.

First Semester: 340 clock hours, 11.33 occupational credits
