NUR 4827C - Leadership and Management in Professional Nursing

Pre/Corequisite(s): NUR 3164, NUR 3826, NUR 3846, NUR 4636C, NUR 4655, and NUR 4837 with a grade of C or better.
This course teaches principles of nursing leadership and management with an emphasis on decision making, priority setting, delegating, communicating, team building, and managing fiscal and human resources. The focus is on preparation of the professional nurse for leadership responsibilities in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare environment. Leadership experiences will be provided in a variety of clinical settings.
