EVS 1181 - Conventional and Pretreatment Water Technology 3 credits Prerequisite(s): EVS 1026C , EVS 2005 This course covers the technologies required to produce safe drinking water as well as the pretreated water required for advanced water treatment technologies. Technologies covered include clarification, media filtration, cartridge filtration, bag filtration, membrane filtration, silt dispersants, biocides, acid washes, scale inhibitors, sulfite compounds, ultraviolet irradiation, ozone treatment, and softening.
