MAC 1140 - Precalculus 3 credits Requirements Met: AATR, GE, GR Prerequisite(s): MAC 1105 with a grade of C or better or score out on appropriate placement test. The study of algebraic principles and properties including radicals, exponents, complex numbers, absolute values, linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, exponential and logarithmic functions, equations, and other relations and functions; graphs of linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions; roots of higher degree polynomials; systems of equations and inequalities; linear programming; matrices and determinants; conics, applications, sequences and series; and the Binomial Theorem.
