At the end of this course, students should be able to observe, identify, and effectively supervise diverse special population inmates within a
housing unit in a correctional setting, maintain officer safety and a high level of professionalism when supervising special population inmates in a correctional setting, and maintain care, custody, and control of special population inmates within a housing unit in a correctional setting.
