AMH 2010 - United States History to 1877College Credits: 3 Requirements Met: AATR, GE, GEC, GR General Education Area: Group 1 Social Science Prerequisite(s): REA 0017 and ENC 0025 with a grade of C or better or ENC 0027C with a grade of C or better or score out on appropriate placement test. In this course, students will examine United States history from before European contact to 1877. Topics will include but are not limited to indigenous peoples, the European background, the Colonial period, the American Revolution, the Articles of Confederation, The Constitution, issues within the New Republic, sectionalism, manifest destiny, slavery, the American Civil War, and Reconstruction.
