EEC 1001 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education 3 credits Corequisite(s): CHD 1220 , EEC 2300 . The student will gain knowledge of the eight areas of competency required by the Child Care Professional Certificate and demonstrate mastery in each area through their EEC 1001 coursework and through an official observation of the student in their early childhood classroom. The student will gain knowledge of state rules and regulations regarding child care programs, child growth and development, and developmentally appropriate practice concerning children ages birth through eight. Lab fee.
