EMS 1119 - Emergency Medical Technician-Basic

5 credits
Corequisite(s): EMS 1119L , EMS 1431, WFHX 0018 , WFHX 0011 , WFHX 0012 , WFHX 0016 .
Introduction to Emergency Medical Technician, covers Modules 1 to 7 of the U.S. Department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum for Emergency Medical Technician – Basic. Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Lab (EMS 1119L ), EMT Hospital/Field Experience (EMS 1431), Issues in Domestic Violence (WFHX 0018 ), Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (WFHX 0011 ), Basic Extrication (WFHX 0012 ) and Florida Level I Hazardous Materials Awareness (WFHX 0016 ) are required corequisites and satisfy additional educational requirements set by the Florida Department of Education (Health CORE) and the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (64E-2 FAC).
